Our Graduates have, as previous years' graduates have, been winning international design competitions. Penguin Design Awards and YCN have always provided us with great successes and this graduating year group did not let us down.
2 YCN commendations and 1 outright Penguin Winner were won during their 2nd year of study - quite a feat ! Congratulations to them and we hope for more from this year group when this years competition winners are announced soon... watch this space!

The best of The Dots showcase, creative portfolios selected by 40+ judges.
Our year 3 have done its again - well done to Toby Clarke and Jocelyn Yong who have been selected from over 1000 graduates as 'ones to watch'. Our year 3 have uploaded their portfolios on the 'The Dots' as part of the virtual D&AD New Blood Festival and over 40 judges have selected the best.

Penguin Student Design Awards
Winner Toby Clarke scoops national award for anti-establishment book cover design in 2019.
Talented Toby Clarke has beaten hundreds of fellow designers to win a prestigious national prize.
The University of Northampton Graphic Communications student was named winner of the Adult Non-Fiction Cover Award at the Penguin Random House Design Awards 2019, after coming up with an inspired new cover designs for Owen Jones’ bestseller, The Establishment and How They Get Away With It.
The book from the left-wing political activist lifts the lid on a network of people who wield massive power and reap huge profits in the process, and sees Jones argue that they are the biggest threat to democracy in the UK.

Toby Clarke and Cherie Waugh - YCN commendations 2019 for Artizan Drinks
Toby clark and Cherie Waugh were both commended for their eye-catching submissions to the YCN Student Awards – a global design competition which celebrates the very best work from students and recent graduates around the world.
Both chose to tackle the live industry brief to create an outstanding brand campaign to drive sales for the premium range of Artisan Drinks within the best bars, hotels and restaurants within the UK and Australia.
