Hi, my name is Isabella Kampstra and I am a graphic designer, communicator and an illustrator. I have had over 1 year of experience in the field working as a social media marketer and an illustrator. I am fluent in English, Dutch and Danish, so I’ll easily fit into any international design company. I’m excited to start working in the new digital world we live in and to experiment with all the new possibilities it brings with it, and since I’m still 20- years old, I believe I can create work that relates well with this new generation we’re all going to market to.

Project: My Type of Place
Identify a location and produce a site- specific typographic intervention that positively communicates the virtues of that place.
“This is the Cultural Quarter of Northampton”, a warm welcome into the shoe and leather production area, that Northampton is so known for. By placing a mural that says “Walk this Way” it encourages visitors to explore the area while also communicating that these are the virtues of the city. The overall style of the illustrated typographies is inspired by the old faded victorian murals you can find around Northampton.
Project: Goodnight Mr Tom Book Cover
Client: Penguin Student Design Award
Goodnight Mister Tom is about William Beech and Tom Oakley during WWII. The cover of this book depicts both these characters as leaves drawn on crumpled up paper. This symbolises the love for art Will has and the abuse of his mum when he shows her the drawing he had made after returning from living with Mister Tom.
Project: D&AD New Blood Awards:
Yula Energy Drinks
Create a copy-led campaign that develops an external brand promise and convinces traditional energy drink consumers to switch to Yula.
We saw that people between 18-28 years old respond well to copy-led campaigns that have humorous texts. So we talked to these people directly through these posters with these messages.
