Hello my name is Jake. Experimenting creatively with ways to apply or combine different mediums through graphic design is something I find challenging yet fulfilling. Developing my skills: designing in Video, 3D and Augmented Reality formats. Other mediums that appeal to me include Typography and Logo Design. Graphic design interests me as there is always more to explore and different softwares to broaden my skill set. I am interested in working as a graphic designer for companies in creative fields such as game design and the film industry.

Final Major Project: Water Safety Campaing
This campaign takes a direct and educational approach to raising awareness of water safety, designed to make the public question their own instincts, knowledge and ability to save someone from a water related death and to bring to attention the most common causes of water related deaths.
Project: Editorial Beyond the Page
In response to the Editorial beyond the page brief, this design takes a nostalgic approach to visualising Tibor Kalman’s 1998 piece, FUCK COMMITTEES with its themes of the dulling and sapping of society’s thoughts, passion and creativity. Achieved through the use of a muted colour scheme and an animated augmented reality layer that combines to create a visual style that is reminiscent of a primitive 1990’s Windows computer.​​​​​​​

Project: D&AD New Blood Awards: Yula
Energy Drinks
Create a copy-led campaign that develops an external brand promise and convinces traditional energy drink consumers to switch to Yula.
In response to the YULA Energy Drink competition brief for D&AD, this design takes a sympathetic and ecological approach to communicating the values of YULA. Particularly the themes of energising and refreshing through a vibrant colour scheme consistent with the brands pre-existing identity. With an aim to promote their primary value of plant based power and reduced sugars.
